We are a small hobby kennel located just outside Portland Oregon, that occasionally breeds for ourselves, dedicated to quality and not quantity, and with the breed’s best interest at heart. Our goal is to produce an overall family and companion dog, that also excels in the show ring, hunting field, obedience ring and other performance events.

We have had Clumbers Spaniels since 1988 and have had dogs, primarily sporting breeds, all our lives.

Bella Vita Clumber Spaniels combines the best of both worlds sharing pedigrees from the UK, Sweden and the United States. Thus far, we have bred over 20 champions, as well as performance and field dogs, and have excelled in the show ring with many of our dogs in the Top 10 for the breed, consisting of group placers and group winners and National Specialty Awards of Merit.

Our dogs are family members and house dogs first and foremost, and we strive to place our puppies accordingly. Most of our dogs live in homes with small children. Puppies leave here with most of their vaccinations, a microchip, an initial CERF exam by a licensed opthamologist, are lead broken, partially potty trained and very well socialized.

We want our puppy buyers to be our friends, and we keep in contact with everyone throughout their lives. We are readily available and at their service always, to tend to their needs and answer any questions. Great homes and quality of life for our dogs is of utmost importance to us.

Our dogs are health tested for all the various problems that Clumbers are prone to, which goes beyond hip dysplasia and eye abnormalities. Many of our dogs have OFA #’s and are CERF clear. Good temperaments and a clean bill of health are priorities in our breeding program.

Bella Vita in Italian translates to “beautiful life," and that’s what our dogs have. We wish to continue this practice always, be it in our home or yours.
