Paris came to us from Bill Ironside
in England. He was 13 months old and undocked. Although tails were not
yet accepted in the American Standard, Paris was so true to type with
his massive bone, correct proportions and excellent movement, that Doug
Johnson of Clussexx Kennels agreed to show him.
Paris finished his championship quite quickly, and earned a group placement
on top of it. Doug used him at stud and he sired the multi BIS/BISS A/C
Ch. Clussexx Billy Goat's Gruff.
Some of Paris' show accomplishments have been: Canadian Champion, multiple
BOBs and a Clumber Supported BOB, Award of Merit at the Clumber Spaniel
Club of America National Specialty, the only natural tailed Clumber Spaniel
thus far to have attained several several Group placements in the United
States, CSCA Top Stud Dog and Pedigree Award Winning Stud.
Paris is the sire of many Top 10 Clumbers and Group Winners. Paris also
achieved his Working Dog and Junior Hunter Titles in one long weekend
of five straight shows, trained and handled by Darrell Reeves. Paris also
has his CGC and Therapy Dog titles.
Now retired and at home on the ranch, Paris enjoys hanging out with his
"bitches" and smelling the flowers like Ferdinand the Bull.
Paris is a laid back, and extremely mellow fellow. He likes listening
to country music, and enjoys an occasional bowl of spaghetti. Everyone
has commented that Paris' easygoing nature and good temperament shines
through in his offspring.
